Hoven (368 m above sea level) is a mountain just behind the farm. The walk to the summit is on a trail that takes between 1 to 1.5 hours. From the summit, you can enjoy a fantastic view overlooking west and east Lofoten islands and the midnight sun on the horizon.
Lofoten Golf Links, a nine hole golf course in fantastic surroundings lies just 500 m from the farm. Practice on the driving range or go for a round of golf on the course under the midnight sun. Golf sets can be hired.
Cafe Hull 19 , where you can buy dinner, light meals is on the golf course, only five minutes away from the farm. Open till midnight all summer.
Grocery Store,There is a small island grocery store 5 km from the farm.
Fishing. In the heart of the Lofoten Islands, fishing is one of the most pleasant activities to do either fishing from land with your fishing rod, or join a fishing trip out on the Sea where the famous Lofoten cods live and multiply.
The area is of historical interest. In fact, Hov is one of the oldest inhabited places in Lofoten and there are burial mounds and boat landings there from the Stone Age and Viking Age. Explore the Stone Age settlements and boathouse ruins on Gimsøya. Beneath the cellar of the Kårhuset, a genuine Viking was found. He lay there with his sword, shield, and dog.
We have goats, cows, rabbits, chickens and cats and encourage guests to get up close and touch the animals if they like. Guests may also assist with the feeding of the animals each day. Farm tours by arrangement. Horse riding trips can be arranged.
All children welcome, there is a children’s play area, trampoline, swing & slide ready to enjoy. Children can go for walks with the farm’s baby goats, or play with the rabbits in their two enclosures.
The beautiful beach has fine snow white sand and is well-suited for play, various games and barbecuing. There is a barbecue grill there and benches and tables for your convenience. It is also possible to fish with a rod from the surrounding rocks
